The miracle fruit winner goes to Grapefruit! Organic fruits & Health tips

Images-3

My fiancé cringes to the name of this fruit! He wants nothing to do with it. The unbearable taste is too much for him, as well as many others who can’t stand the flavor. Well, that’s too bad because once you hear the benefits this fruit gives, then you just might want to give it another try.

For me personally, I can juice 5 of these babies and take it down like a pro. I actually love the taste! But the reason why I wanted write about grapefruit is to make people aware of the hazards grapefruit can have if you or someone  you know is taking prescription medication. Not only do people take their medications in the morning, in some cases, they take their prescriptions with grapefruit! If you love grapefruit so much that you can’t live without it, drink it 2 hours before pill popping or 5 hours after taking your drugs.

Benefits

  • Weight loss: The enzymes absorb and reduce starch and sugar in the body and has a fat-burning effect.
  • Diabetes: Reasons diabetics should consume grapefruit is pretty much spot on with weight loss. The reduction of starches and sweets in the system helps diabetics with their glucose levels. Article
  • Common Cold: Gives you a huge immune boost. it’s loaded with vitamin C, has smaller amounts of vitamin A, B complex, E and K.
  • Sore throat: Helps with soothing your coughs and relieves your throat.
  • Cholesterol: Reduces excessive production from the liver by the flavonoid naringin, which is metabolized into naringenin, and antioxidant. Article
  • Fever: reduces fever besides drinking plenty of fluids.
  • Acidity: Grapefruits are actually a alkaline fruit even though it tastes acidic. When it reaches the digestive system it helps neutralize the acidity problems in the digestive track.
  • Digestive disorders: Helps the flow of gastric juices. Eating the grapefruit and spooning out the insides will load you up with fiber. Just half a grapefruit will give you 6 grams, which almost equals out to a quarter of what health advisers recommend. Article

  • Pregnant woman: Mentioning the bioflavonoids and vitamin C will help water retention and reduce swelling of the legs during pregnancy. Article

Cautions

Okay, so since I just found out about this and from the little research I have, I attached the article which prompted this blog. Download Grapefruit Juice Can Interact With Medicines

The high levels of flavonoid naringin, which helps with HCV infection as well as cholestrol, rejects synthetic man-made drugs! It’s a shame that some doctors blame grapefruit for the toxicity when in fact it’s really the drug they have you on.

The grapefruit halts the metabolism of the drug and leaves it sitting in your body creating the risk of toxic poisoning.

If you or any of your friends, family, children are on any prescription drugs, please forward them this. It may save their life. Please be wise with what you put in your body. Read about the dangers of prescription drugs. Article

Thanks and I leave you to your grapefruit as I am finishing mine as we speak. xxx <3 A&L
