When you take HCL supplements be sure you take the pills before ingesting any heavy meals that have tons of fat and protein.
HCL supplements can be taken:
- Before
- During
- Or After Meals
If you take more HCL supplements than your body can handle, you can burn the lining of your stomach. If you feel a burning sensation such as heartburn, you should stop taking the HCL supplements right away! Try drinking whole milk to help coat the stomach which may help the stomach reaction.
You should never consume any liquid form of HCL. Liquid form HCL can eat through metal and in no cases should be consumed if it’s not in a capsule or tablet supplement form. If consumed in a liquid form it can cause severe mouth and esophagus burns and even death.
I do not recommend anyone to take HCL supplements. Usually, you should try to alter your eating habits to an alkaline diet.
I read an article about a research scientist that specializes in anatomy and physiology of the human body. Dr. Young’s discussed “HCL or Hydrochloric acid is a toxic acidic waste product of sodium bicarbonate production – right in the stomach. The sodium bicarbonate is used to alkalize the food or liquids you ingest and the HCL falls into the gastric pits of the small intestine to be taken up by the lymphatic system and then eliminated through perspiration or urination… Think of it this way: Yes, they help to break down hard to digest animal protein and meat. But guess what. YOU are meat! It will break you down too!”
