Aaaac6cmomiaaaaaadv0gg

My gag reflexes where definitely tested when I first watched a close friend of mine chug 6 raw eggs in a glass per day. I asked him not knowing any better “Are you frightened about getting salmonella?” His response was “Possibly if these eggs were raised from commercial hens but they are organic and fresh.”

I believe, eating raw high quality, cage-free, organically fed, chicken eggs is probably the smartest thing anyone can do.

A study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2002 indicates that only 0.003% of eggs are infected with salmonella. Risk Analysis April 2002. So out of 69 billion eggs produced annually, only 2.3 million eggs could be contaminated with the disease. If you do eat commercial raised hen eggs, you have a chance of running into 1 contaminated egg in every 42 years.

If you cook your eggs it will change the protein structure. The vitamins C, B6 and B9 will be destroyed along with the protein and other nutrient benefits. I heard if you are someone that has bad allergies, give raw eggs a try it may help with reducing your symptoms.

Raw eggs contain vitamins A, B2, B5, B12, E, D and K, lutein, iodine, molybdenumphosphorus, 5.5 grams of protein, essential fatty acids and 20% of your RDA for tryptophan?

If you want to try to transition from cooked eggs to raw eggs try this method:

  • Start with consuming one teaspoon of raw egg for the first three days.
  • Fourth day, start taking one whole egg for the next three days.
  • Now feel free to put 6 eggs in a glass and enjoy your nutrients for the day.

This way your body will be will properly train to fight any bacteria your body doesn’t like and will recognize it when you start consuming the whole egg.

If you are ever served bad food in a restaurant your body will be able to move the bad food out much faster than your friends. They will be sick while you have a huge smile on your face already disposed of the bad waste product.

Don’t be scared… There is no taste to raw eggs!!!

Be sure to always check for the freshness of your eggs:

  • If it smells strange, don’t eat it
  • do not wash your eggs
  • eggs should be room temperature. Eggs that are stored in the refrigerator lose some of the nutrients.
  • Don’t beat the eggs. You will lose some of the nutrients.
  • Open the egg and if the egg white is watery instead of a gel consistency, if the egg yolk is not convex and firm or if the egg yolk bursts easily don’t eat it.

Do not just consume egg whites without the yolk.

You need the yolk to properly digest the whites. It doesn’t have too much cholesterol! Raw eggs are known as clean cholesterol, they are great brain food. Only heated eggs contain bad cholesterol.
