A friend of mine who founded www.brainrestorationtherapy.com has the license to administer NAD IV treatments. I was curious about the treatment but never thought I would have it administered on me until someone very dear to me mentioned that they wanted to try it. I decided to jump on board and do it as well.
I’m now on day 3 on the IV. I definitely am feeling the effects. I feel less anxious and more focused. Before I get into too many details let me explain what NAD is.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is an essential metabolite in all human cells. It plays a key role in cellular metabolism within the “powerhouses of the cell”, the mitochondria. Mitochondria have long been known to perform important cellular functions related to converting nutrients such as fats, proteins and carbohydrates into energy, but researchers have begun to further study the broader role of mitochondria in protecting against a wide range of adverse health conditions.
Administering NAD studies have shown:
- Reverse aging
- Increase of metabolism
- Weight management
- Increased longevity
- Improvement of blood glucose
- Improvement of insulin sensitivity
- Improvement of neuroprotection
- Cognitive function
- Helps with drug withdrawals.
A ground-breaking paper was released which found that giving older mice an NAD+ booster for only a week made the mitochondria of two-year-old mice resemble those of six-month-old mice when evaluated for critical biochemical markers of muscle health. In human years, that would be the equivalent of a 60-year-old’s mitochondria becoming more like those of a 20-year-old.
I don’t know too many people who wouldn’t want an anti-aging potion. The number one reason why I wanted to try the NAD IV treatment is for anxiety and focus. I have a ton of projects and sometimes have a difficult time focusing on one task too long. My friends call that ADD.
Now that you know a bit about NAD, tomorrow I will log about my experience on the treatment and the side effects I have been feeling. I haven’t decided if I want to stay on this IV for four days or five. Ill assess that tomorrow to see how I’m feeling.
