You hear body conscience muscle and fitness body builders preach “eat protein, eat protein!”, But how important is protein for your body to build muscle? People preach it and never explain it. Have you ever heard the real reasoning behind it?
First you should know what a protein is. Well, Amino acids bond together and make protein.
Lets look at a brick wall for an example. In order to build a brick wall you would need cement to lather on the bricks for the wall to stay as a solid structure so it wont collapse.
Our body is that wall. When it lacks the amino acids our wall’s structure will break.
So there’s basically a two step process;
- Peptides “The brick”
- Polypeptides “The cement”
Amino Acids bond together (the brick and cement) to make a protein.
Without protein your body wont be able to build new muscle. Without new muscle there will be no muscle growth.
I don’t care how often you work out or how much you think you can lift. If you don’t have the proper amount of protein intake with high intense training you won’t build muscle.
I bet you are wondering what’s the proper amount of protein to intake. Come back tomorrow to find out. 😉 xxx <3 A&L
