What is a supplement? A multivitamin supplement is defined in the United States as a supplement containing 3 or more vitamins and minerals that does not include herbs, hormones or drugs where each vitamin and mineral is included at the dose below the tolerable upper level, as determined by the Food and Drug Board, and does not present a risk of adverse health effects.
I personally do not take just any multivitamin, I take a whole food, organic vegetarian multivitamin capsules. The benefits are huge over the other multivitamins that are more commonly used.
First off, whole food multivitamins come from a natural form. It’s from a plant (vegetable or fruit) and not chemically processed. No additives or fillers.
The most important factor to me is that the mulitvitamin is not processed with chemicals that I can’t pronounce.
If you see a vitamin listed under “Supplement Facts” then you know it’s synthetic unless otherwise specified.
If you currently take a synthetic vitamin I believe your money is being wasted. Our body’s can’t assimilate processed synthetic foods. It’s defeating the purpose of why you’re taking a multivitamin in the first place. xxx <3 A&L
